オープンハウス（令和6年8月）†

　2024年8月26～30日に今年度のオープンハウスを実施しました．今年度は木更津高専，長岡高専4年生2名の応募がありました．急遽，1名のキャンセルがありまして，長岡高専環境都市工学科4年生の渡邉啓太さんのみの受講となりました．最大の問題点は，企業インターンや帰省などで日本人がほとんど不在ということと，不飽和土の国際会議出席のため，豊田教授がほとんど不在だといことです．そこで，今年度は，高田技術専門職員を筆頭に留学生を中心としたメンバーで対応にあたりました．そのため，この期間中は応対する留学生に英語禁止を命じたわけですが，そりゃ無理だよねということで，高田さんにフォローしてもらって，英語混じり日本語で渡邉さんに学習してもらいました．理解できたかは不安ですが，高専生は英語が苦手で当たり前なんてこと言ってられない時代が来てますね．受講生は長岡市内出身ということで，いつも中越エリア観光を挟んで，お茶を濁してましたが，今回はその手が使えないため，みっちり地盤工学，特に液状化をテーマに学習して頂きました．最後は高専でのプレゼン資料をまとめて終了です．この体験を通して，本学に進学を目指してくれると嬉しいです．
